Grand Designs - Series 4 Released On DVD 5th May

Property shows have come and gone but one constant with us since 1999 and stronger and bigger than ever is the elite home design Channel 4 television show Grand Designs, presented by design expert Kevin McCloud. Now the fourth series of "The only worthwhile property related programme on television" (The Times) comes to DVD on 5th May courtesy of Fremantle Home Entertainment, just in time for the Grand Designs Live show at the Excel centre in London from 3rd through to 11th May.

UK premiere of SANCTUARY

ITV4 today announce that they have acquired the UK premiere of SANCTUARY, a new sci-fi series from the creators of Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis. The 13-part series is based on the world's first high-definition science-fiction Web series and will be the first television series to use live-action actors against mostly virtual sets.

Adventures Of Pink Peter By Stuart Miles

Former presenter of the BBCs Blue Peter the worlds longest running children's TV show Stuart Miles presents his first three-woman comedy show. All performances include free tips on fashion, humanitarian work and cosmetic surgery makeovers. Warning: This show contains gratuitous scenes of cross-dressing and wanton exaggeration.

Prison Break Season 3 On DVD From 19 May

Region 2 DVD News Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced the release date for the third season of the Golden Globe and Emmy nominated TV series – Prison Break. Wentworth Miller returns as long-running fugitive Michael Scofield, alongside cast members Dominic Purcell, Robert Knepper, Wade Williams and William Fichtner.

Pete Doherty Has Left A Music Event Nearly £50,000 Out Of Pocket

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has left a music event nearly £50,000 out of pocket after he was sent to prison this week. Doherty was booked to appear on stage at the GoBusker.com UK Battle of the Bands on April 27th at east London venue 93 Feet East, but now the whole event is in turmoil because he was sent down for 14 weeks.

The South Bank Show: The Damned United

The Damned United is a South Bank Show coming up on ITV1 very soon on the writings of the beautiful game. The film centres round the novel, The Damned United by David Peace, one of the most compelling portraits in British sporting literature. The novel follows the revered and feared football manager Brian Clough and Melvyn Bragg interviews David Peace at Elland Road, Leeds United’s ground, where the novel’s action takes place.

Ben Shephard Runs His First Ever Marathon

Whilst the London Marathon was underway, 130 runners took to the Island of Tresco to run the world’s smallest marathon to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. GMTV presenter Ben Shephard, who is a patron of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, came in 31st with a fantastic finishing time of 3 hours and 47 minutes.

Primeval Series Three Goes Into Production

Season three of the critically acclaimed, smash hit adventure series Primeval begins filming today. Having taken a monster size chunk out of Saturday nights in 2008, Douglas Henshall, Hannah Spearritt, Ben Miller, Andrew-Lee Potts, Lucy Brown and Juliet Aubrey are back. And with an extended run of ten episodes, the action continues to evolve with more new faces joining the team.
